What is YWAM?
YWAM is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. We unite around the common purpose to "Know God, and Make God Known". YWAM began in 1960 as a way to get young people involved in missions, and today we still focus on youth but also involve all age groups.

It has grown to be one of the largest Christian missionary organizations in the world with over 18,000 staff worldwide, and working in more than 1,100 locations in over 180 countries.

Ywam's ministries fit into three main areas - Evangelism, Training (the introductory course being the 6 month discipleship training school) and Mercy Ministry (operating relief and development programs among people living in desperate circumstances ).
We are dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this generation, and mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission.
“Go into all the world and preach the good news to everyone”
(Mark 16:15)
