As missionaries, we don't receive any income from YWAM, as our organization has felt specifically led from the Lord that our individual wages for our ministry would come from the partnership and relationships of individuals and churches.  This means that we have to raise financial support to fund our monthly needs (living + accommodation costs) as well as ministry costs (outreach trips, ministry resources).

The Great Commission to "Go and make disciples of all nations" is Jesus' invitation and command to the church- meaning we all have a role to play. We see God call some people to be full time missionaries, but we also see Him invite others to partner with missionaries/missions through prayer and giving.  

 

We believe that this support is not meant to be merely transactional, but it's meant to be a partnership. God is relational, and he has designed his church to support and encourage one another and to work together to advance his kingdom purposes. Through giving to missions, you are saying "yes" to partnering with what God is doing around the world. You are not just giving towards what God is wanting to do directly through Nathan + I, you are a "fellow worker/co labourer" with us in God's kingdom, extending the reach of a global movement. You are joining a team that prays and encourages on another in the faith, and celebrates all of the testimonies together!
